Although sustainability as a goal for markets has made progress, the need to galvanize such an initiative is pertinent to the welfare and survival of markets and individuals in the near future. Thus, the Policy Support Component (PSC) of the EU Switch program in the Philippines, in its commitment to promote adoption of Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) in the country, worked with different stakeholders including policymakers and execution agencies such as DoE (Department of Energy), DepEd (Department of Education) and DENR (Department of Environment and Natural Resources) among others to implement the Switch-Asia Programme.
A key agenda of the programme was to create sustainable and knowledge-filled products including country-level roadmaps, policy guidance, industry and end-user adoption guidelines, etc. ASSIST contributed to this agenda by acting as a monitoring/overseeing body for the production of numerous program outputs.
As the local implementing partner of the project, ASSIST oversaw the stakeholder analysis, branding, design, development, and execution of several knowledge products including National Energy Efficiency Action Plan (NEECAP), Energy Efficiency Publication Series, Nationwide Campaign on SDGs, and the Green Public Procurement Guidelines and Training.
